Our story

sundayjoy started with a jacket.

I'm Wes, and along with my wife and co-founder Veronica, I built sundayjoy to be something the faith community has never quite had: one home for the best faith-based brands, makers, and creators, all in one place.

Where it began

I've been an entrepreneur for as long as I can remember, with a heart for design, style, and fashion since I was young. My first real taste of the industry came working retail at the Gap on 34th Street right out of college, then later at the Apple Store and Club Monaco. Somewhere in there, I fell in love with how much you can say about yourself through what you wear. I even ran my own T-shirt brand for a while. It did well, but running it alone eventually wore me out.

Years later, married to Veronica, I felt pulled to build something new: Grace & Lamb.

A love letter to where we're from

Grace & Lamb grew out of a conversation Veronica and I had about our upbringings. I was born in Honduras. Veronica was born in the Bronx to a family from Ghana. Growing up, especially in the South Bronx, both of us felt more pressure to blend into the culture around us than to celebrate the ones we came from. Grace & Lamb became our way of embracing those cultures unapologetically, starting with bold bomber jackets inspired by Pakistan, West Africa, and Spain.

Grace & Lamb also became something else: a brand that blurs the line between streetwear and outdoor wear. Our goal is clothing that looks like it belongs on the street or on the trail, built from materials like nylon, cotton, and linen blends that hold up on a hike or a camping trip. Look good everywhere. Function anywhere.

The idea that became sundayjoy

After years in the Bronx, Veronica and I moved to Port Jervis, New York, a small town made for hiking. I saw an opening and told Veronica I thought we should open a Grace & Lamb store.

Veronica, being the thinker she is, had a better idea. Instead of building a store around one faith-based brand, why not build a home for many? I'll admit, it took me a minute to come around to it. Grace & Lamb felt like it would take a backseat. But the more I sat with it, the clearer it became: this was bigger than one brand.

What we're building

sundayjoy exists to be the go-to destination for faith-based artists, musicians, designers, and entrepreneurs, and everything they make: clothing, jewelry, coffee, furniture, frames, and more. There are more incredible Christian-owned brands out there right now than most people realize. What's missing is one place to discover the best of them. That's sundayjoy.

We believe we're called to have dominion over the earth, not to be shaped by it. sundayjoy is how we live that out: by helping faith-driven creators reach the people who are looking for them, and by shaping culture instead of just reacting to it.

Where we're headed

Right now, sundayjoy is a growing online marketplace. Our goal is bigger than that. We're building toward a physical sundayjoy flagship store: a real place for this community to gather, discover, and shop together in person, not just online.
